Scholarships Awarded by Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council in Franklin

Each year, the Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council in Franklin presents three scholarships to graduating seniors from the St. Mary Parish Community. Two scholarships are named in honor of Robert Simmler, a Past Grand Knight, and are awarded to Franklin graduating seniors. The third scholarship is given in the name of Robert Catalano, a long-time Knight and parishioner. This award is designated for a child or grandchild of a Knight belonging to our Council.

2026 Scholarship Recipients

This year, we are proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Simmler Scholarships. Charlie Nash has been awarded $3,000, and Matthew Colford has received $1,500. Both are 2026 graduates from Franklin High School. The 2026 Robert Catalano Scholarship, valued at $2,000, has been awarded to Jack Baribeau, a 2026 graduate of Holliston High School. These accomplished students are active members of their Parish Community. Their achievements stood out among the many talented candidates who applied for the 2026 awards.

We wish Charlie, Matthew, and Jack the best of luck as they begin their studies this fall. Charlie will attend Boston College, Matthew will enroll at Providence College, and Jack will pursue his education at Villanova.
